Science Questions Answered

Over at Science Geek Girl’s Blog I noticed a post about a service (at U. of Northern Colorado) for answering Math and Science questions submitted by teachers. I have not used the service but it sounds great- read the blog post HERE. In my work with elementary science teachers I have noticed occasional hesitancy in not being a science “expert”. How cool to just send off an email of a question and get an answer from an expert in the given field.

Applications for Science Teachers: It seems like science teachers of all grade levels will get questions from students that are not easily answered. This could be a great service for those stubborn questions. A great support for classroom engaged in open inquiry experiences too. Could also be a good support for science teacher Professional Learning Communities when they need science content expertise.
